A robbery at gunpoint at a grocery store in Jalandhar

In Jalandhar's Mathura Nagar, a grocery shop was robbed at gunpoint. The accused showed a sharp weapon and a revolver to a person and robbed them of Rs 30,000 in cash and goods worth more than Rs 5,000 and fled. Bobby Verma said that his uncle Vinod Sharma has a grocery shop in Mathura Nagar. On Monday at half past seven in the morning he was sitting in his shop as usual. Meanwhile, two robbers came riding on a bike and as soon as they came, the accused kicked the victim on the chest. One of the robbers was holding a sharp weapon and the other was holding a revolver.

The victim, Vinod Sharma, told the police that the accused stole around Rs 19,500 from his pocket, Rs 10,000 in his bag and many items from inside the shop. The victim told the police that he has suffered a loss of around 35 thousand rupees in this incident. After the incident, the accused fled towards Sodal Nagar.

The victim reported the matter to the police control room immediately after the incident. After about 3 hours, the police of police station division number 8 reached the spot for investigation. The police have registered a case based on the statement of the victim's family. Along with this, the action regarding the matter has been started.
