Promote Sports Culture in Punjab: Cabinet Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa said that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has played an important role in promoting sports in the state. He said that in order to promote sports culture, the Punjab government organized sports competitions across the state under the name of ‘Kheda Watan Punjab Ki’, which were highly appreciated by the people.

Bram Shankar Jimpa was addressing the players during the final match of the football tournament organized by Shaan-e-Sports Club in village Shergarh. The final competition took place between the team of village Bohan and village Harta, in which the team of Bohan won.

While honoring the players, the cabinet minister praised the efforts of the sports club and announced to give 3 lakh rupees to the club, saying that no stone will be left unturned to encourage the youth towards sports. He said that more than 3 lakh people of all age groups participated in the ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diya’ sports competition and prizes worth Rs 7 crore were distributed.

This football tournament held at Shergarh lasted for 8 days and 32 teams participated in it. Councilor Jaspal Singh Chechi, club president Karan Baga (Bhola), Manjinder Singh, Jaspal Singh, Gurmeet Kaur, Ashok Salempuri and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
