Punjab government canceled two more fake scheduled caste certificates

The Punjab Government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the Scheduled Castes of the state. Accordingly, the fake Scheduled Caste certificate of Geeta wife Dharmapal Hall Abad Ara Market, Quarter No: 33, Near Lal Kothi, Faridkot and Jatinder Kaur daughter Pyara Singh wife Sri Amaninder Singh Village and Post Office Mandiani District Ludhiana has been rejected by the state level scrutiny committee constituted at the government level.

Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Dr. Baljit Kaur said that Mrs. Simarjit Kaur wife Gurmail Singh of Faridkot district filed a complaint with the Department of Social Justice that Faridkot resident Geetha has produced a Scheduled Caste certificate despite belonging to the general caste.

Apart from this, Jatinder Kaur daughter Pyaara Singh wife Amaninder Singh village and post office Mandiani district Ludhiana had produced a Scheduled Caste certificate despite belonging to the general caste. He himself had submitted his Scheduled Caste certificate at the Tehsil Office for cancellation and a civil writ petition has been filed in the Hon’ble Court to cancel this certificate. He did not take any benefit from this certificate.

The minister further said that after investigation by the Social Justice Department, it has been confirmed that the Scheduled Caste certificates of Geeta and Jitinder Kaur are fake.

The Minister said that the department has written to the Deputy Commissioner of Ferozepur asking to cancel and confiscate the Scheduled Caste Certificate No. 1490 dated 13-07-1992 of Mrs. Geeta and the Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana to cancel and confiscate the Scheduled Caste Certificate Series No. 3955513 dated 18.08.2017 of Jitinder Kaur.
