PSPCL’s engineer climbed the vigilance hurdle

Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that the said J.E. has been arrested on the complaint of Sukhjit Singh, a resident of Dhadyala village in Gurdaspur district.

He said that the complainant had filed a complaint at Amritsar Range Police Station of the Vigilance Bureau that J.E. Kirpa Singh has demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from him in exchange for installing a new transformer.

The spokesperson said that after the preliminary investigation of the complaint, the team of Vigilance Bureau Amritsar Range police station laid a trap and arrested the said J.E. was caught red-handed by taking a bribe of Rs. 10,000 as the first installment from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses.

In this regard, the said J.E. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Vigilance Police Station Amritsar Range and further investigation of the matter was ongoing.
