PSPCL’s engineer climbed the vigilance hurdle

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party is constantly saying the same thing that it is to make Punjab free from corruption, due to which the corrupt are having to spend time in jail. PSPCL posted at Aliwal. Junior Engineer (JE) Kirpa Singh has been arrested on the charge of accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that the said J.E. has been arrested on the complaint of Sukhjit Singh, a resident of Dhadyala village in Gurdaspur district.

He said that the complainant had filed a complaint at Amritsar Range Police Station of the Vigilance Bureau that J.E. Kirpa Singh has demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from him in exchange for installing a new transformer.

The spokesperson said that after the preliminary investigation of the complaint, the team of Vigilance Bureau Amritsar Range police station laid a trap and arrested the said J.E. was caught red-handed by taking a bribe of Rs. 10,000 as the first installment from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses.

In this regard, the said J.E. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Vigilance Police Station Amritsar Range and further investigation of the matter was ongoing.
