PSEB issued guidelines regarding admissions

The Punjab School Education Board has issued guidelines regarding admissions in the fifth, eighth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth classes. Admission to the board classes can be taken till May 15. After this, admission to the board classes will not be given. Schools will have to meet the target of 75 per cent attendance of every student. Admission to Class V will be given only to those who have passed Class IV. Must be recognized from Government Affiliated, Aided, Associated Schools recognized by the Punjab School Education Board and the student should not be held back by any school. Or a child enrolled in Class V should be at least 9 years of age by March 31.

Similarly, only a child of at least 12 years of age will get admission for class 8. Verification of eligibility shall be the responsibility of the Head of School. Admissions will be made on the basis of available seats in the schools. There will be no need to obtain transfer certificate or result card by the students verified from any other authority. The school head or class in charge will personally verify and update the information from the website.

If for some reason the result card and transfer certificate of the student admitted to the board class is not received, then the school can grant provisional admission to the concerned student, but before the examination, the school head will have to get the result card and the transfer certificate and submit it. The school head will be fully responsible for this. Result card and transfer certificate of all students have to be sent to the head office.

According to the guidelines of the Punjab School Education Board, any student will be allowed to change group only for 1 month in class 11th. This permission can be given by the head of the institution. If there is a change in any group in class 12, students can change only 2 subjects in the same group in which they have done class 11. Can be converted from academic stream to vocational stream. Apart from this, the department has also given information that which subjects can be chosen according to each stream.
