In fact, NGT has imposed a fine of 25 thousand rupees on Ludhiana Municipal Corporation. This fine has been imposed on the Municipal Corporation after a writ was filed by the members of the Public Action Committee.
The NGT has imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the municipal corporation for failing to clear the garbage pile near Gill Road in Ludhiana. This decision of the NGT has come in the case of an appeal filed by the Public Action Committee members. According to which they appealed to the National Green Tribunal in November 2022, but the municipal corporation failed to solve the problem despite the claims.
