Bhagwant said that after assuming office, our government laid great emphasis on improving the education sector of the state. He said that priority is being given to improving the education provided in government schools so that students studying in these schools can compete with their peers studying in convent schools.
CM Mann said that the strenuous efforts of the state government have now paid off and a huge increase has been recorded in the admissions of these schools. He further said that this fact can also be traced from the fact that there has been an increase of 16.3 percent in the admissions of the Pre-Primary (1) wing and 9.9 percent in the admissions of the Pre-Primary (2) wing.
He said that the fact that a large number of students from private schools are now leaving their schools and taking admission in these schools is a testimony to the fact that government schools have become synonymous with quality education. Bhagwant Mann said that this trend will continue in the coming days and the day is not far when the students of these schools will prove their identity in each field.
The Chief Minister reiterated that breaking the myth that has been going on for more than 70 years, our government is making tireless efforts to transform the education sector in the state. He said that more attention is being paid to the development of infrastructure and human resources to revolutionize the education sector of the state. Bhagwant Mann said that the day is not far when Punjab will emerge as a center of quality education from across the country.
