Police arrested drug trafficker, recovered 2 kg of opium

Drug smugglers are planning to supply drugs by changing their methods day by day but are not escaping from the police. A similar case has come to light in Khanna. Here a smuggler from Jharkhand was bringing opium tied on his thigh. Which was captured. 2 kg of opium was recovered from his possession.

According to the police, Sub Inspector Sukhbir Singh's team had blockaded Doraha. Meanwhile, a passenger got down from the bus and started turning back after seeing the police. Seeing him panicked, the police stopped him on suspicion. Due to the cold, the rider was wearing thick clothes.

When the police searched the ride, it looked like there was something on the thigh. When the police removed the clothes, they saw that opium was wrapped in an envelope tied on both thighs and taped on it. The accused has been identified as Ranjit Kumar Shahu, a resident of village Bandu in Chatra district of Jharkhand.

Khanna SSP Amanit Kondal praised the checking team. Kondal said that duty was performed with full vigilance and thorough search was carried out at the post, due to which the police got success. This team will be honored. Other employees should also be vigilant like them.
