The Meteorological Department has issued two-day dense fog alert in Punjab

Dense fog prevailed in Punjab on Monday. This was the reason why visibility remained less than 50 meters in Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Faridkot. The Meteorological Department has also issued Orange Alert for Tuesday and Wednesday. Under this, dense fog will prevail in most parts of Punjab.

The department has advised people to be more careful while driving. On Monday, the maximum temperature of Punjab also recorded a drop of 1.9 degrees Celsius. According to the forecast of the department, there may be light to moderate rain in the districts of Majha and Doaba region of Punjab on December 30 and 31. In Punjab today, Bathinda recorded the highest temperature of 23 degrees Celsius.

Apart from this, the temperature was recorded at 21.7 degrees in Amritsar, 22.4 in Ludhiana, 19.3 in Patiala, 22.9 in Pathankot, 17.0 in Gurdaspur, 20.2 in Fatehgarh Sahib and 19.7 degrees Celsius in Moga. On the other hand, an increase of 0.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in the minimum temperature of Punjab.

The lowest temperature was recorded in Gurdaspur at 5.8 degrees Celsius. While the temperature was recorded at 7.2 degrees in Amritsar, 7.1 in Ludhiana, 8.7 in Patiala, 6.5 in Pathankot, 6.2 in Bathinda, 9.3 in Jalandhar and 8.6 degrees Celsius in Moga.
