PM Modi took every step to increase farmers income ‘- Sitharaman

Today is the 11th day of Kisan Andolan. The Kisan-Mazdur Morcha (KMM) will take a decision on the Delhi march today. On February 21, after the death of young Shubkaran on the Khanuri border, the farmers stopped the Delhi march. Farmers are celebrating Black Day today, in the meantime Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's statement regarding farmers has come out.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Center has formed a 3-member committee of ministers and is talking to the farmers. He said that PM Modi has taken every step to increase the income of farmers and works for the smallest farmers. The price of urea has increased from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 but even today farmers are buying it for Rs 300 because the government has taken this responsibility on its shoulders. We are working sincerely on farmers' issues.

It may be mentioned that farmers across the country are celebrating Black Day on Friday in protest against the death of 21-year-old Shubkaran on the Khanuri border of Punjab-Haryana. The decision was taken after a meeting of the United Kisan Morcha that lasted for four and a half hours on Thursday. 100 farmer organizations participated in it. Agreed to hold tractor march across the country on 26th and Mahapanchayat in Delhi on 14th March.

At the same time, the Haryana Police has withdrawn its decision to take action under the National Security Act (NSA) against the agitating farmers' leaders. Earlier on Thursday, the Ambala police had said that compensation for the damage to government property during the protest would be given by the agitating farmers' leaders. For this, their properties will be attached and their bank accounts will be seized.
