Patiala: Two people have died and three others have been injured due to the collapse of the roof of a house in the city. In this accident, the roof of a house fell in Raghomajra area late on Tuesday night. Due to which two of the migrant workers sleeping below died and three were admitted to the hospital. The injured are currently being treated.
These migrant workers were living in a rented house near Jangi Jatha Gurdwara Sahib in Raghomajra area. It is believed that due to continuous rain in the city for the last several days, the condition of the roof of this old house had deteriorated.
Heavy rain fell in the city today at around 7.30 am on Wednesday morning. Along with this, the flood gates of Jacob Drain have been opened due to rain.
