Chandigarh Regional Passport Office has decided to give appointments to 3000 passport applicants on April 29, a holiday.

These appointments will be available for Chandigarh, Ambala and Ludhiana Passport Seva Kendra. For this, online appointments have started today at 11 am on the website of Passport India. In such a situation, the holidays of all the employees have been cancelled.

The Ministry of External Affairs has taken this decision due to the increasing demand for passports. It may be mentioned that people had to wait for three months to get a normal passport. Also, people were waiting for two months to get instant passports. Regional Passport Officer Priyanka Mehtani said that to give relief to the people, with the approval of the Ministry of External Affairs, it has been decided to make passports of 3000 people even on Saturday holiday.
