Sushil Kumar Rinku, who became the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and became a Member of Parliament for the first time after winning the by-election in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat of Punjab, reached Amritsar to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple. Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal and Planning Board Chairman Jaspreet Singh were also present with Sushil. Sushil Kumar Rinku also sat in the gurdwara and performed kirtan sarvan.

It may be mentioned that the by-election was held in Jalandhar on May 10. Earlier this seat was held by Congress leader and MP Santokh Chaudhary. But Rahul Gandhi died of a heart attack during his visit to India. After which his wife Karamjit Kaur was given ticket from Jalandhar by Congress but Sushil Kumar Rinku defeated her by a big margin.

Entry of ‘AAP’ in Parliament with Sushil Rinku
The Aam Aadmi Party emerged as the third largest national party in the country, but did not have a single representative in the Lok Sabha. After the resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann during the elections in Punjab, the only parliamentary seat AAP had to vacate was won by Akali Dal supremo Simranjit Singh Mann during the Bathinda by-election.

With the victory of Sushil Kumar Rinku, the Aam Aadmi Party has re-entered the Lok Sabha.

Kirtan was performed in Harmandir Sahib
Parliamentarian Sushil Kumar Rinku prayed for the good of all at Harmandir Sahib. He also sat inside and listened to Kirtan for some time. Many workers including ‘AAP’ leader Major Singh, Roni Singh, Kamaljit Singh Bhatia were also present with them.
