One dead, 4 injured

A bus of a private company collided with an electric pole near Baja Chowk in Jaito town of Ferozepur district of Punjab on Saturday evening. In this accident, one person standing on the road died, while 4 people were seriously injured. The police took the body into possession. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. A case has been registered against the driver.

According to the information received, a bus of a private company was going to Kotakpura from Bathinda on Saturday evening. It was a little behind Bajakhana Chowk that Jaito hit at an angle in a canter. Due to the sudden angle of the bus due to high speed, the bus collided with the electric pole on the roadside, due to which 5 persons were injured.

It is being told that the collision was so strong that the electricity pole fell down and the electricity transformer was also damaged. Because of this, the electricity in the area was also cut off. Volunteers of the Youth Welfare Support Club reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported. He immediately admitted the injured to the Civil Hospital.

62-year-old Sadhu Lachman Singh alias Hindi Baba son of Maghar Singh resident of Gobindgarh Dabarikhana died due to being hit by the bus. The injured include Sonu son of Bihari Lal resident of Jaito, Gurmej Singh alias Geja son of Karam Singh resident of Valmiki. Colony, including Sunil Kumar son of Bhullar, resident of Thermal Colony, Bathinda and Rinku son of Malta Ram, resident of Jaito.

All four were admitted to Civil Hospital Jaito for treatment. After this he was referred to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot.
