Youth died of drug overdose in Ludhiana

A young man has succumbed to drugs in Ludhiana. A drug-addicted youth died outside the government school in Chaunta village. His body was found near the school gate in the morning with a syringe attached to his hand. People going for a walk in the morning saw his body lying there and informed the police. After the death of the youth, mourning is being done in the area. People have announced to protest by keeping the dead body outside the police station.

Giving information, social worker Dayal Singh Mand said that the 30-year-old youth of Disha village was addicted to drugs for the past one year and used to work as a labourer. His father is also a laborer and was undergoing treatment many times to get rid of addiction. But for the last few days he started taking drugs again.

He left home at night without informing and his body was found outside the school in the morning. Around 6 am people left their house for work and saw his body lying on the gate. After this, people gathered and lifted the body from there and placed it on the bed. On this the people of the village gathered and expressed their anger.
