Various criminal documents, digital devices and around 30 lakh rupees were recovered from the accused Indian currency (Indian currency) has also been recovered. The team has also seized the phones of Ashu and his close friend Sunny Bhalla for investigation. The team is engaged in scanning the internet and call records of both.
Accused of benefiting relatives
Former Minister Ashu (Former Minister Ashu) is accused of a tender scam worth Rs 2,000 crore. Small contractors alleged that there were irregularities in labor and transport tenders in Punjab’s mandis. Only 20-25 people benefited, ignoring small contractors, while Ashu says these tenders are allotted by DC-led committees. He has been charged with conspiracy.

Punjab Vigilance (Punjab Vigilance) had filed a case against former minister Ashu in the tender scam on 16 August 2022. A case was registered under Sections 420, 409, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC and 7, 8, 12, 13 (2) against Telu Ram Contractor, Jagrup Singh Hon’ble partner M/s Gurdas Ram & Company and Sandeep Bhatia. In this case, Ashu was arrested by the vigilance on 23 August 2022 while cutting hair in the salon.
