The young man was beaten for love marriage

A 28-year-old youth was beaten to death in Aulakh village of Faridkot district of Punjab. It is alleged that the girl entered her in-law’s house by climbing over the wall at night. He had come to meet his wife, who was being held hostage by her maternal uncle, but was murdered by the girl’s relatives. The police have taken possession of the body and started investigating the matter.

The in-charge of Thana Sadar Faridkot said that this incident took place in the form of Gurikbal Singh. Gurjit Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Dilpreet Singh and Kulwant Kaur have been named in the murder case on the complaint of Harbansh, the father of the deceased. Among them, Gurjit Singh has been arrested. Efforts are on to arrest the others.

Neither allowed to talk to nor meet his wife
Relatives of the deceased Gurikbal Singh said that Gurikbal had a love marriage with a village girl. He brought the girl away from the village after living in another city for 4 months. He returned to the village with the girl a few days ago when the girl’s family members called him. The girl’s people picked her up and took her away.

It is being told that the girl’s people imprisoned the girl at home. He was neither allowed to meet Gurikbal Singh nor was he allowed to talk on the phone. Gurikbal sneaked into his in-laws house on Wednesday night. The girl called and informed the police. Gurikbal was already dead by the time the police arrived.
