nagaland election result 2023 : Over 83 per cent voters exercised their franchise on Monday for the Nagaland Assembly elections. The result of the election will come on March 2, on which the whole country is watching. Let us tell you that candidates are contesting on 59 seats in the 60-member Nagaland Assembly. Nagaland has over 13 lakh voters and 183 candidates, including four women and 19 independents, are in the fray for 59 seats in the 60-member assembly. Whose fate has been decided in the EVM. BJP candidate and sitting MLA Kazheto Kinmi has won unopposed from Akuluto seat. This is how the government was formed in 2018
It may be noted that in 2018, the NDPP formed the government in this northeastern state of Nagaland along with the BJP. He also got the support of Janata Dal United and an independent candidate. In the year 2021, the Naga People’s Front (NPF) also joined the NDPP-led ruling coalition and was named ‘United Democratic Alliance’.
In 2018, there was 85.62 percent polling.
Chief Electoral Officer V Shashank Shekhar informed the media that the estimated polling percentage was 83.63 percent. Barring a few incidents of violence in three assembly constituencies, the polling was largely peaceful. He told that last time in 2018, 85.62 percent polling was held. The final polling percentage will be known only after getting the figures of some centres. Due to some technical glitch, the figures of these centers are yet to be received.
