German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said in Berlin that no one should misunderstand the meaning of the law. Marijuana will become legal, but it will still be harmful. Along with this, the number of its customers can also be reduced.

Lauterbach said that the protection of children and youth is the main purpose of this law. However, the current draft is expected to undergo changes as it is debated in Parliament. Both houses of Parliament will discuss the bill in detail after the summer vacation.

It is believed that this will help in reducing black marketing. Illegal traders will not be happy about this. This is because the objective is that people do not buy from dealers without proper knowledge of the product. This will help protect people from substandard products and drug-related crimes.

“We’re not causing a problem,” Lauterbach said earlier this year. We are trying to solve a problem.
