He complained that neither the Indian embassy nor the government provided him with any legal assistance during his stay in jail.

There came a time when he gave up hope of returning alive. He had expressed his wish that after his beheading, his body should be sent to India and cremated in his village. He said that he is sad that his mother and father left this world waiting for him without being punished for any crime. Balwinder Singh thanked the donors from the country and abroad who helped him to be released by collecting blood money of 2 crore rupees.

What is the whole matter?
According to cousin Joginder Singh, Balwinder Singh went to Saudi Arabia in 2008. In 2012, a man was killed in a simple fight incident, which was blamed on Balwinder Singh. The court has sentenced him to seven years. In 2019, when the seven-year prison sentence was about to be completed, the court ordered that he be beheaded or pay blood money of 1 million riyals (Rs. 2 crores in Indian currency) to the victim’s family in accordance with Saudi Arabian law. .

The Dubai hotelier helped
Ordinary families could not afford to pay such amount. Therefore, he appealed to all the donors living in the country and abroad for help. After which Dubai’s eminent hotelier Dr. SP Singh Oberoi, founder of Sarbat da Bhala Trust, supported. After which, with the help of other people, this amount was sent to the court in Saudi Arabia a few days before the date of execution on 18 May 2022.
