Bureau Report: Regarding the new video from the jail of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, a big statement has come out from IG Jails of Punjab Roop Kumar Arora. The IG said that we have investigated the video of Lawrence, this video is not from any jail in Punjab. The police is giving a reason that 2 people are talking in the video. One of them is Manu Manesar and the other is Raju Basodi. In the video, Lawrence and Raju Basodi are seen together while Manu Manesar joins them through a video call. IG Jail Roop Kumar Arora claims that these two have never been together in a Punjab jail. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in jail in Gujarat.
‘Raju stayed in Muktsar Jail for only 28 days’
IG Jail Roop Kumar said that ADGP Jail Arunpal Singh had instructed him to investigate. Meanwhile, the biggest question in front of them is that Raju Basodi, who is seen with Lawrence, was he ever in the jail of Punjab? After the investigation, it has come to light that Rajkumar alias Raju Basodi was in Muktsar jail from 25th January 2021 to 22nd February 2021. After 28 days he was shifted to Panipat jail. The IG said now the second question was whether Raju and gangster Lawrence were ever in the same jail, then the investigation revealed that Lawrence Bishnoi has not been in any jail in Punjab from January 4, 2018 to September 23, 2022. He was brought to Punjab on 24 September 2022 IG Jail Roop Kumar said that this proves that this video is not only from Bathinda but not from any jail in Punjab. He said that the video is old and may be from a prison in another state outside of Punjab.
Who is Raju Basodi?
Raju Basodi is one of the main accused of daughter-in-law violence. His hand is being said in the violence that broke out in the daughter-in-law on July 30. In the video that has come out now, Raju was sitting with Lawrence and talking to another accused of daughter-in-law violence, Manu Manesar. After which Punjab government along with Punjab police also came on the target.
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was interviewed by a TV channel in February this year. After which DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said it was outside Punjab. During Lawrence’s interview, the DGP, referring to his hair and dress, described him as old. But the next day, all the claims of DGP Gaurav Yadav were lost when in the second part of Lawrence Bishnoi’s interview, Lawrence’s hair was also cut. Now, for the second time, after the video from Lawrence’s jail has come out, the Punjab government is again completely surrounded.
