Earlier, on February 24 this year, SIT filed a 7000-page charge sheet, in which then Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, then Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, then DGP Sumedh Singh. Apart from Sumedh Singh Saini, suspended IG Paramraj Singh Umranangal, then DIG Ferozepur Amar Singh Chahal, then SSP Moga Charanjit Singh Sharma, then SSP Faridkot Sukhmandar Singh Mann and then SHO City Kotakpura Gurdeep Singh were made accused.

Exactly two months after this, on April 24, the SIT of 2400 pages Supplementary invoice presented and filed the 2502-page third charge sheet on Monday. Due to the death of the then Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who is among the named accused, his name has been entered in column number 2 of the accused in the charge sheet filed on Monday.

According to the information, DSP Gurdeep Singh and Inspector Iqbal Singh, involved in the SIT, filed a 56-page charge sheet and 2446 pages of supporting documents in the JMIC court. Similar challans have been presented by the SIT in both the FIRs related to the Kotakpura shooting incident.

It is worth mentioning that Parkash Singh Badal, who was declared the main accused in these cases, has passed away and the rest of the nominees are out on bail today.
