Dr Ritu explains, “Vaginal boils occur when the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus infects the areas that have hair roots and hair follicles. When a hair follicle becomes infected, it is called folliculitis. Pimples can occur on the vagina due to shaving with a razor or any kind of injury in that part.

According to Dr. Ritu Sethi, due to the weakness of vaginal bowel immunity, infection can be caused by diabetes patients, synthetic undergarments. Vaginal boils can be caused by many infections like bacterial, fungal infections and sometimes herpes.

Such pimples can also occur in the vaginal area due to lack of cleanliness. Wearing tight clothes leads to sweating and also during exercise. That’s why it is important that you wash your vagina after exercise as well.

How to prevent vaginal boil

Get your sugar checked

According to Dr. Ritu Sethi, if you have a problem of vaginal boil, then it can also be due to sugar. Many times this problem is also seen in diabetic patients. So first of all check that your sugar level has not increased. If you have diabetes, see a doctor for this.

2 Poor urine hygiene

Dr. Ritu Sethi explains that if you have pus-filled pimples on your vagina, it could also be due to poor urine hygiene. If you use a public toilet, then you can get an infection from it, which can later cause pimples on the vagina. Public restrooms are often dirty. Bacteria tend to accumulate on toilet seats when they come in contact with a lot of people. These bacteria can give you vaginal boils.

3 Not cleaning up after intercourse

Dr. Ritu Sethi told that if you do not clean the vagina after sex or intercourse, then it can also cause pimples on the vagina. Always after intercourse, you have to keep in mind that you should clean your vagina and hands thoroughly. If possible take a bath.

4 Avoid Wearing Synthetic Undergarments

Instead of silk, nylon or synthetic undergarments, you should use cotton panties. There is no room for the skin to breathe in synthetic undergarments. Due to which the air does not pass and the sweat does not dry. All these reasons can give rise to vaginal boils. So try not to wear synthetic underwear and opt for a comfortable and breathable cotton underwear.
