Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar has given some effective methods of head massage through her Instagram post (how to massage your scalp). Along with this, he has also shared the method of preparing oil at home for massaging. So let’s know about it in detail.

To prepare massage oil you will need

  1. coconut oil
  2. Curry leaves
  3. fenugreek seeds
  4. hemp seeds
  5. Aliv Seeds
  6. hibiscus flower

First of all, take a small pan and put it on medium heat. Add 5 to 7 teaspoons of coconut oil to it.
When it becomes hot, add 4 to 5 fenugreek leaves to it. Then turn off the gas.
Now add ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds, hemp seeds and alive seeds to the hot oil.
Then take hibiscus flower, crush it lightly and put it in the oil.
Now let the oil cool down overnight. By doing this, all the nutrients will mix well in the oil.
Now separate the oil by filtering them in the morning, then massage your scalp with them.

Learn the right way to massage

Rujuta Diwekar has explained the effective method of head massage through her Instagram post. So let’s know how champing will be more beneficial for the scalp. To start the massage, untangle your hair. Now first of all you have to pay attention to the center of your scalp.

step 1 :

According to experts, all the stress and tension is concentrated at the center of the scalp. In this case, apply oil in the palms and first apply it on your scalp center.

step 2 :

Then open your palms and tap the top of your scalp with it 5 to 6 times.

step 3 :

Apply oil on all your fingers and keep both thumbs behind the ears. Then move all the other fingers upwards from the base of the scalp in circular motions. At the same time, apply pressure on the back parts of the ear with your thumbs.

step 4 :


After this, take some more oil and apply it on the base of your scalp (from where the scalp starts) and massage the scalp by moving the hands from bottom to top.

step 5 :

Coming to the front of the scalp, apply oil to your fingertips and massage the scalp in circular motions from front to back.

step 6 :

After this, move your index finger from the front edge of the ear to the back. Do this at least 4 to 5 times.

step 7 :

Apply oil on both your palms and take them behind the neck, then massage while bringing them forward. Repeat this at least 5 to 6 times.

step 8 :

When all the steps of scalp massage are completed, apply the remaining oil on your hair thoroughly from root to tip.

For proper results, leave it overnight and if you do not have time, then keep it for at least 30 minutes.
