Bureau Report: Waris Punjab Chief Minister Amritpal Singh has started an indefinite strike in Assam’s Dibrugarh Jail along with nine of his associates. On the other hand, Amritpal’s wife Kirandeep Kaur has also gone on a hunger strike near the jail in support of her husband.
According to Dainik Bhaskar’s news, this hunger strike has been done in protest against not allowing them to meet their chosen lawyer. Amritpal has been arrested from Punjab under the National Security Act (NSA). After which he was sent to the jail of Assam. Kirandeep Kaur said that Amritpal and his colleagues are not being allowed to meet their lawyer Rajdev. While they have full right to it. No solution has been found in this case in 5 days.
Gave a warning by writing a letter from jail
On September 28, Amritpal Singh wrote a one-page letter about the DC of Amritsar. In this letter written to the Superintendent of Dibrugarh Jail, Amritpal said that the DC of Amritsar is misusing his power. He has not allowed lawyer Rajdev Singh Khalsa to meet him. While his lawyer has fulfilled all the conditions. Their constitutional rights are being ignored.
