Indian Space Research Organisation: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has created history by launching 36 satellites simultaneously on March 26. ISRO’s LVM3 launch vehicle carrying the British company’s satellite took off from Sri Harikota at 9 am.
The launch will be from the second launch pad
The launch took place at 9 am from the second launch pad of ISRO’s SDSC-SHAR. During the countdown, the rocket and satellite systems were tested and then fueled for the rocket. The Indian rocket LVM3, 43.5 meters tall and weighing 643 tonnes, was launched from the second launch pad of the rocket port at Sriharikota.
Let us tell you that this rocket weighing 5,805 kg has carried 36 satellites of Britain (UK)-based Network Access Associated Limited (OneWeb) into space. They will be placed in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Low Earth Orbit is the lowest orbit of the Earth. The launch of the mission can be seen here-
The satellites will separate after 20 minutes
The LVM3 is a three-stage rocket, with the first stage powered by liquid fuel, two strap-on motors powered by solid fuel, the second stage powered by liquid fuel and a cryogenic engine. ISRO’s heavy rocket has the capacity to carry 10 tonnes of ALEO and four tonnes of GEO to Transfer Orbit (GTO).
ISRO has named the rocket mission code as LVM3-M3/OneWeb India-2 mission. The process of separating the satellites will begin exactly 19 minutes after the launch of the rocket. The 36 satellites will be deployed in different phases.
Who is One Web Company?
Airtel i.e. the Indian enterprise is also a shareholder in the British startup company OneWeb. ISRO has two deals with OneWeb, one of which was done last year. This is the second time a private company’s satellite is being carried in this rocket and its success rate has been 100 percent. In October last year also, ISRO had launched 36 satellites of Onebase with LVM3 rocket.
