Chandigarh: The ongoing dispute between Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Patwaris has not stopped yet but this dispute has certainly opened the way for jobs for the unemployed. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tweeted today that he is going to share a good news with everyone that he is going to give appointment letters to 710 Patwaris who passed the test on September 8.

Chief Minister Mann said in a tweet that I am sharing a good news with you. Mann said that on September 8, we have held a big appointment letter distribution function in which 710 newly appointed patwaris are to be given appointment letters. Advertisements for new posts of Patwaris will also be released soon. Mann also said that it is hoped that new pens in new hands will create a new corruption-free society and people will not be allowed to suffer.

When the government implemented the ESMA Act in the state to end the strike, the patwaris announced to work within their own circle. To put pressure on the government, the patwaris left the work of additional circles to themselves.

Instead of bowing to the pressure of the Patwaris and negotiating a middle ground, the government fielded 741 Patwaris who were on training. This information was given live by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself. He had said that 741 under-training patwaris have completed 15 months. There is 18 months of training. They are being installed in vacant places (Patwar Circle) just 3 months ago.
