Tarn Taran police arrested the accused with lakhs of drug money and weapons

The Punjab Police is continuously making concerted efforts to arrest the drug traffickers and control the bad elements. In this connection, the Tarn Taran police have arrested 3 accused with the last 30 lakh 41 thousand drug money. 3 kg 98 grams of heroin, 2 pistols of 32 bore, 14 live cartridges, 4 vehicles and 2 motorcycles were recovered from these accused. A case has been registered against the accused at Bhikhivind police station.

The accused arrested by the police have been identified as Harpreet Singh alias Happy, Kuldeep Singh son of Satnam Singh Singarpur police station Sarhali Kala, Sukhbir Singh alias Sukh. Police recovered 15 lakh 61 thousand rupees earned in drug trafficking from Harpreet Singh. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Singh was arrested after interrogation. During the search of Kuldeep Singh, 01 kg 398 grams of heroin, 5 lakh 13 thousand Indian currency drug money, 9 rounds including a pistol 32 bore and 04 vehicles were recovered from him.

According to information, these recovered vehicles were bought with money earned from drug money and the accused used them to deliver heroin to various smugglers. After this, 9 lakh 67 thousand rupees earned in drug trafficking was seized from the third accused Sukhbir Singh during interrogation.

Police recovered 14 alive including 2 pistols of 32 bore, Barija vehicle number PB 81 1476, Fortuner vehicle HR 26 BW 0945, Corolla vehicle HR 26 AJ 013, Varna vehicle PB 22 F 0132, one bullet motorcycle number PB14-B-4222, one Delux motorcycle number PB46-AA-90 2/4 has been seized.

In the second case, acting under the directions of Tarn Taran SSP Gurmeet Singh Chauhan, Jaspal Singh PPS Deputy Captain SI Sulwant Singh Mukh Afshar Thana Sarai Amanat Khan was sent to the area by forming different teams. As soon as the police party reached the village of Burj near Gurdwara Sahib, a motor cycle scooter without number plate and three young men were seen coming from the front. Seeing the police, they panicked and started running.

Meanwhile, two persons sitting in front fell on the road and the motor cycle driver took the motor cycle away. The police arrested the two youths. In the interrogation, they told their names as Malkit Singh and Ejpal Singh. During the search, 750 grams of heroin was recovered from them. The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act against both of them in Sarai Amanat Khan police station. Also, a raid is being conducted to arrest the accused Vishaldeep Singh alias Guwati son of Satnam Singh resident of Burj Colony.
