Unidentified assailants shot at a Shiv Sena leader in Batala under Gurdaspur district. In the incident, Shiv Sena leader Rajeev Mahajan along with his son Manav and brother Anil Mahajan who were present at the shop were also shot. The injured was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Batala, from where he has now been referred to Amritsar. It is being told that the attackers came to the shop as customers.

According to information, the incident took place on Saturday afternoon. Shiv Sena leader Rajeev Mahajan was present at the shop along with his brother and son. Meanwhile, the attacker came inside the shop and started talking about showing the LED. After some time the attacker went out. After that, he and the two attackers roaming in the street also came to the shop. Together, the three started continuous firing and fled from the spot.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police team reached the spot. Both the attackers were caught in the CCTV camera installed in the nearby street. When one of the attackers went to the shop to locate the LED, the two were seen walking in a nearby street. The cameras installed inside the shop are also being checked.

The police say that the culprits will be identified soon. Police are not sharing more information about the case. The police say that it is too early to say anything about the matter.
