Earlier in April this year, the CBI had summoned Arvind Kejriwal in the case of the alleged liquor scam. At that time CBI (CBI) Kejriwal was interrogated for about 9 hours in the headquarters of Meanwhile, AAP workers also held demonstrations in many areas of Delhi. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh have already been arrested in this case.

Allegations of scam in procurement of DTC buses

Apart from the alleged liquor scam in Delhi, the Delhi government is accused of irregularities in the purchase and maintenance of 100 DTC buses. On the proposal of the Chief Secretary, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has handed over the investigation of the matter to the CBI. In the case, the Delhi government was accused of irregularities in the July 2019 procurement bid for 1,000 low-floor BS-4 and BS-6 buses and in the second bid for maintenance contracts in 2020.

After the matter came to light, BJP held a press conference and targeted Arvind Kejriwal. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia had even said that – ‘After so many scams, how can it be said that there is an honest government in Delhi.’

Allegations of classroom fraud

BJP also targeted Arvind Kejriwal over the classroom scam in Delhi. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia had alleged that schools in Delhi required 2400 rooms, which was increased to 7180 and the amount of construction was also increased. After this 6133 class rooms were to be built but only 4027 classes were built. Similarly, the need for toilets was also overstated but these were also counted in classes. The BJP was also accused of a poor rainwater harvesting system. However, Aam Aadmi Party denied these allegations.

A feedback unit was formed

A feedback unit was formed after the Aam Aadmi Party came to power in Delhi in 2015, tasked with monitoring departments and institutions. The Delhi government and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were targeted for this. The feedback unit was accused of spying on opposition party leaders. The CBI has quietly started investigating the matter. In 2016, the Vigilance Director sought permission to register a case in this regard. According to a report, apart from the work assigned to the feedback unit, it was also collecting intelligence.

Kejriwal’s bungalow repair issue

CBI is also investigating the case of renovation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s bungalow. The investigating agency had registered a case in this regard on September 27. In fact, on May 12 this year, the vigilance department submitted a report to Lt. Governor VK Saxena, which said that around Rs 52 crore would be spent on the bungalow. After 18 days a show cause notice was issued to the officials of Public Works Department. On this matter, Aam Aadmi Party says that BJP is trying to destroy AAP.
