New Delhi. Another shocking case has come to the fore in Delhi. Where a man set his 28-year-old live-in partner on fire following an argument over drugs. Due to which he died. This incident is of Aman Vihar in North West Delhi.

The name of the accused is Mohit. At the same time, the deceased was identified as a resident of Balbir Vihar in North-West Delhi. She worked as a laborer in a footwear factory.

According to the police, on the night of February 10, the victim saw Mohit consuming drugs at his friend’s place. After which there was a fierce debate between the two. During this, in a fit of rage, Mohit allegedly poured turpentine oil on the victim and set her ablaze and fled.

On February 11, the police was informed about the admission of the scorched woman to SGM Hospital. When the police reached the hospital, the woman was not ready to record her statement. After which he was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital and then to AIIMS Trauma Center for further treatment.

A senior police officer said that investigation revealed that the victim had left her husband and was living with accused Mohit for the past six years.

She had two children – one from her marriage and the other from Mohit. Due to the critical condition of the victim, she was unable to record her statement. He died in the hospital on Monday. After which his post-mortem was done.

On the basis of the statement of the family members, the police registered a murder case at the Aman Vihar police station and arrested the accused Mohit. Police is investigating further.
