A youth of Bagwanpur village in Bhulath area of Kapurthala died due to drug overdose. The deceased has been identified as Sundar Singh alias Jaggu resident of Bagwanpur. After receiving the information about the incident, the Bhulath police station took the body of Sunder Singh and sent it to Kapurthala Civil Hospital for post-mortem. SHO Gaurav Dhir confirmed that appropriate action will be taken after the post-mortem report.
2 accomplices escaped leaving Sunder on the spot
SHO Gaurav Dhir said – Sunder Singh alias Jaggu son of Bhupinder Ram and his accomplices Satta and Kulwinder Singh son of Dayal Singh who were injecting drugs on a motorcycle at village Siddwan Road. Meanwhile Sundar Singh alias Jaggu fainted due to drug overdose and his two accomplices Satta and Kulwinder Singh escaped.
On the way, when a person saw Sundar Singh unconscious on the motorcycle, he informed his family members. When he was taken to Civil Hospital Bhullath in an unconscious state, he had died. It is being told that the deceased young man was married and has three children.
