Coronavirus Cases in India: Corona cases have started increasing rapidly in India once again. The country has reported 1,590 cases of Covid-19 in a single day, the highest number in 146 days, the health ministry said on Saturday. The number of active cases of infection has increased to 8,601.
The death toll due to the viral disease rose to 5,30,824 with six more deaths, according to ministry data updated at 8 am. Three deaths were reported in Maharashtra and one each in Karnataka, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
Along with this, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.33 percent while the weekly positivity rate was estimated at 1.23 percent. With the latest cases, the number of Covid-19 cases in India has risen to 4,47,02,257. According to the latest data of the Ministry of Health, 220.65 crore doses of anti-Covid vaccine have been given across the country so far.
This is how Corona spread in India
The important thing is that on August 7, 2020, the number of corona virus infected in India crossed 20 lakh, on August 23, 2020, it crossed 30 lakh and on September 5, 2020, it crossed 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November 2020.
On 19 December 2020, these cases crossed one crore in the country. On May 4, 2021, the number of infected crossed two crore and on June 23, 2021, it crossed three crore. On January 25 last year, the total cases of infection crossed four crore.
