New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has reached the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. His interrogation has started. Here, to ensure law and order, Section 144 has been imposed in South district. The entry towards CBI offices was regulated. Delhi Police has not given information about this.

The CBI on Sunday began the second round of questioning of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case. Officials said that Sisodia reached the CBI office after paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. Sisodia, accused number one in the CBI FIR, was earlier questioned on October 17 last year.

A month later, on November 25, the CBI filed a charge sheet in the case. Sisodia was not named in the CBI chargesheet as the CBI investigation against him and other suspects and accused was ongoing at that time. Officials said the CBI has prepared a detailed set of questions for Sisodia based on the confession of Sisodia’s “close aide” Dinesh Arora, alleged members of the “South Lobby” and a group of politicians and liquor barons who lobbied the policy in their favour. The list has been prepared.

It is alleged that the Delhi government’s policy of granting licenses to liquor traders benefitted some dealers who allegedly paid bribes for the same. The Aam Aadmi Party has denied this allegation. Here, just before the appearance of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed great apprehension of his arrest. Sisodia said that if I go to jail, it does not mean that the students will stop studying. I will also assess his performance in jail.
