Continuous increase in the number of patients in Mohali, Jalandhar and Ludhiana

Coronavirus Update in Punjab: The fury of corona in Punjab is increasing continuously instead of decreasing. The health department had sent 4301 samples from different districts of the state for testing. Out of these 3835 samples were tested, 159 new corona patients have come out of them. 111 new cases have been reported yesterday.

According to the data obtained by the health department, 12 corona victims are on oxygen support in different government and private hospitals of the state. Out of these 12 patients are of level-2 while 4 patients are of level-3. However, so far no corona victim in the state is in critical condition who has been kept on ventilator.

Mohali is becoming a hot spot

Corona has hit 17 out of 23 districts in Punjab. The number of patients is increasing continuously in Mohali, Jalandhar and Ludhiana. As the number of patients is increasing, Mohali is going to become a hot spot. 177 samples were sent for testing in Mohali and 51 of them came positive for corona.

Similarly, Jalandhar ranks second in Punjab in corona cases. 357 samples related to Corona were sent for testing in Jalandhar. 18 of them have tested positive. 834 samples were sent from Ludhiana for testing, out of which 15 have been found positive. In Fatehgarh Sahib, 10 out of 166 samples have been found positive.

No new case in 6 districts

Corona is spreading rapidly in Punjab. From the samples taken on Friday, no new corona victim has been found in 6 districts of Punjab. 52 samples from Malerkotla, 80 from Mansa, 119 from Pathankot, 77 from Sangrur, 14 from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Navanshahr) and 170 from Tarn Taran have been sent for testing. None of them have been found positive.

While 9 out of 77 samples in Patiala, 9 out of 367 samples in Amritsar, 8 out of 283 samples in Bathinda, 7 out of 112 samples in Barnala, 6 out of 100 in Fazilka, 5 out of 134 samples in Ferozepur, 4 out of 29 samples in Faridkot, Kapurthala. 4 out of 54 samples, 4 out of 52 samples from Muktsar Sahib, 3 out of 138 samples from Moga, 3 out of 196 samples from Ropar, 2 out of 201 samples from Hoshiarpur and 2 out of 76 samples from Gurdaspur were positive. was found
