Ferozepur: A youth committed suicide by consuming poison in Ferozepur district of Punjab. These allegations have been leveled against the deceased’s in-laws. The Lakhoke Bahram police station registered a case against 4 people on Saturday and started the investigation. After watching the video of his beating on social media, the deceased embraced death.
The deceased has been identified as Sourav, a resident of Kili village. In his statement given by the family member to the police, he and his daughter, son Sourav and mother-in-law were eating bread at home. Daughter-in-law Palwinder Kaur called her relative Dilbagh Singh and others, but did not tell the reason.
According to the information, the accused started beating Sourav as soon as they came. Sourav was seriously injured. He was admitted to Mamdot Government Hospital. After the checkup, the doctors referred her to another hospital after seeing her critical condition.
Savinder Kaur said that the accused made a video of Sourav’s beating and put it on social media. When Sourav saw the video, he could not bear his humiliation. He swallowed something poisonous as soon as he came out of Mamdot Hospital. His condition became very serious.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Guruharshahay, where the doctor checked him and referred him to a medical college in Faridkot, but he died on the way. Lakhoke Bahram police station has registered a case against accused daughter-in-law Palwinder Kaur, Dilbagh Singh, Pippal Singh and Karamjit Kaur. All the accused are absconding.
