Punjab CM distribute Compensation: The compensation for the crops damaged due to unseasonal rain and wind in Punjab will be given to the farmers on April 13. A function is being organized in Abohar on Thursday, in which Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will distribute compensation checks to farmers.

Kuldeep Dhaliwal said Girdavari is going on

Agriculture Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal said that Girdavari is currently going on and crops are submerged in water in many areas. The work of distribution of compensation is being started on April 13 even before the Girdavari work is completed. Dhaliwal said that this will be the first time that when the Chief Minister reaches Abohar to attend the event, the compensation amount will have been transferred to the accounts of many farmers before his arrival.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has increased the compensation amount of 25 percent for the loss of farmers’ crops. The aim of this move is to ensure the welfare of farmers at all costs. Special Girdavari is being conducted in the state. Earlier, Girdavari was done only in offices or houses of politically influential people, but now Girdavari is being done in a fair manner so that all the affected farmers can get compensation.
