Category-3 and 4 employees will be recruited

Honorable Punjab Government will recruit about twenty thousand posts in the second year of its tenure. For this, information about vacancies has been sought from various government departments. The Punjab government has taken this decision with the aim of speeding up the functioning of the government departments and reducing the workload of the employees.

The state government has instructed all the departmental heads to send the vacancy report to the Chief Minister’s Office. After receiving all the reports, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will hold a meeting with the top officials of departments, boards and corporations. After this recruitment will be done on the posts of category-3 and category-4 employees and officers.

The government will not eliminate the vacancies
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has decided in a joint meeting with the higher officials that the posts lying vacant for a long time will not be eliminated. Because all vacancies will be filled by providing employment opportunities to the youth.

The Punjab government has claimed to give jobs to 30 thousand people in the last one and a half years. The Punjab government wants to take this figure to fifty thousand in the second year of its tenure.
