Police broke silence on Amritpal’s arrest, uncle and driver surrendered

Amritpal Singh Update: Amritpal, head of Waris Punjab organization, has not been found yet. His hiding from the police continued for three days. The police are conducting continuous raids to search for him. Internet is off in most areas of Punjab. All are being searched by barricading.

On the one hand where Amritpal is currently absconding. There Amritpal’s uncle and his driver presented themselves before the police on Saturday midnight. SSP Jalandhar Rural Swarndeep Singh has confirmed the surrender of the uncle and the driver. On the other hand, three more FIRs were registered on Sunday against Khalistan supporter Amritpal, accused of the attack on Ajnala police station. Illegal weapons have been recovered from his black Isuzu vehicle found in Salema village of Jalandhar.

Search operation of Punjab Police to find Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh is going on fast. The police have arrested 112 activists of Waris Punjab (WPD) organization while taking action against Amritpal’s associates. 78 of them were arrested on Saturday and 34 on Sunday.

Strict police guard everywhere

Barricades are being searched by the police at different places. The Punjab Police has also claimed that the law and order situation in the state is currently under control. Police teams are deployed everywhere. Companies of paramilitary forces under the leadership of Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) and Commissioners of Police (SP) are conducting flag marches across the state.

Warning against those spreading rumors and fake news

Punjab Police has warned against social media handles spreading fake news. A police spokesperson said that they are monitoring all fake news and hate speech coming from different countries, states and cities. He said that strict action will be taken against those spreading false rumours.
