Chandigarh: This time the monsoon is progressing with a delay of eight to ten days, but there is a news of relief for Punjab. Pre-monsoon rains may begin in the state tonight. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in Punjab in the next few days.
According to the yellow alert issued by the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, tomorrow i.e. on June 25, there will be heavy rain with thunder in the Majha, Doaba and East Malwa areas of the state. While on this day there will be rain with thunder in West Malwa region. On June 26, Majha and Doaba region will experience heavy rain with thundershowers, while West and East Malwa will experience thundershowers on this day.
The Chandigarh Meteorological Center has predicted rain with thunder and lightning across the state on June 27 and 28. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the state will drop by 4-6 degrees Celsius in the next 05 days
Let us tell you that this year monsoon is likely to reach near July 10 in Punjab. Monsoon usually reaches Punjab by June 30. But due to Biparjoy, there was such pressure in central India that the monsoon slowed down. Now that the effect of Biparjoi has ended, the monsoon has started picking up pace again. Monsoon has entered UP at present. Monsoon will enter Haryana in the coming days.
