The central government has decided to start a special Guru Kripa Yatra train for Sikh pilgrims to pay obeisance at various historic gurdwaras in Amritsar. BJP Sikh leaders said that the entire Sikh community is grateful to the Modi government for this. Describing it as a gift to the Sikh community, BJP’s Amritsar Lok Sabha in-charge Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina said that he along with BJP’s National General Secretary Tarun Chugh recently met the Prime Minister and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and requested them to run a special train. was . On this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Railway Minister have given the green signal to run the special train.

Chhina said that the Sikh community will get a chance to visit their historical religious places through this exclusive train. This special train will depart from Amritsar on April 9, which will reach Shri Hazur Sahib via Delhi, Nanded, Bidar etc. He said that from here the train will go to Patna Sahib in Bihar and on April 15 from Delhi, Guru Nagar Amritsar Sangat will reach Sri Harmandir Sahib.

Railways has decided to offer passengers different categories of travel in AC, sleeper and non-AC coaches besides food, accommodation and sightseeing in the tickets. This will give Sikhs an opportunity to offer obeisance at various historic religious places in Punjab, Delhi and other states. This train will facilitate the Sangat to visit the five holy mandals.

The BJP leader said that he has written a letter to Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami and requested him to spread the information of this Guru Kripa train to the general Sikh community through notice boards in all the Gurdwaras. He asked the Shiromani Committee to help the pilgrims by bearing the ticket burden or at least at concessional charges as the ticket covers the entire journey including food, stay and sightseeing.
