Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann handed over appointment letters to the candidates of various departments today. Chief Minister Mann distributed appointment letters to 427 new recruits and congratulated them for their fresh start. Mann said that giving jobs to the youth of the state is not a favor but it is the work of the governments.

Mann said that governments live on hope and people vote only on hope. Mann praised his government and said that since August 30, the government has distributed 7660 appointment letters. He said that now the Punjab government has given jobs to 36524 youths.

Mann said that now the job is getting without any recommendation. They will not have to make these young people go round the court. Taking a dig at the Congress party and Manpreet Badal, Mann said that the hearts of the youth will be broken when the state’s finance minister says that the treasury is empty. He said that for 9 years the finance minister kept talking about the treasury empty. Mann said that the treasury of governments is never empty, the intention is empty. Mann said that the Chief Minister before me left a debt of 9020 crores for me. Mann said that he has repaid the first installment of 1804 crores. Mann said that during the tenure of the previous governments, the youth used to stage dharnas for 10 years each for a job.
