Big accident in Assam, a bus collided with a truck, 12 died

A major accident took place in Golaghat district of Assam this morning. A heavy collision between a truck carrying coal and a bus took place here on Wednesday. At least 12 people died due to this collision. 30 people have been injured in this accident. A video of the accident has surfaced. The bus was destroyed due to the accident. This information has been given by the police officer.

According to information, a bus was going for a picnic from Kamargaon in Golaghat to Tilinga temple in Tinsukia district. Meanwhile, as part of the four-lane highway was damaged, the truck was coming from the wrong direction towards Jorhat, while the bus was in the right lane. It was foggy in the morning and both the vehicles were on high speed, which led to a fierce collision between the two.

Golaghat SP Rajan Singh said, โ€œThis incident took place this morning in Balijan near Dergaon. A bus carrying 45 people collided with a truck. This bus was going to Upper Assam.โ€ He said, “According to the information received so far, 12 people have died in this accident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.”

Rajan Singh said that the matter is being investigated and more information in this regard will be given later. A senior doctor of Jorhat Medical College and Hospital told the media that around 30 injured are being treated in the hospital. He said, “The condition of some is critical.” According to an official of Makami police station, the accident took place around 4.30 am.
