BDPO Khanna suspended

Rural Development and Panchayat Minister of Punjab. Following the directions of Laljit Singh Bhullar, the department has suspended Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) Kulwinder Singh Randhawa of Khanna with immediate effect on charges of embezzlement of government funds.

Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that based on the complaints against BDPO Khanna Kulwinder Singh Randhawa, the investigation was handed over to the District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO), Ludhiana. He said that the report received by DDPO Ludhiana stated that Kulwinder Singh Randhawa misused the funds of Panchayat Samiti Khanna and made unauthorized payments of Rs 58.25 lakh by opening unauthorized accounts.

The Cabinet Minister said that based on these allegations, Kulwinder Singh Randhawa BDPO Khanna has been immediately suspended from government service. During the period of suspension, the headquarters office of the officer will be the District Development and Panchayat Officer, SAS Nagar. According to the orders, the suspended officer will be given subsistence allowance as per the rules and conditions under rule 7.2 of the Punjab Civil Services Rules.

Reiterating the commitment to give clean and corruption-free administration to the people, Cabinet Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the Chief Minister The government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann will not tolerate dereliction of duty, indiscipline and corruption at any cost. He said that if such cases come to light, immediate action will be taken.
