Giving a big gift to the people of Jalandhar, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann dedicated a total of Rs 100 crore development projects to the people and laid the foundation stone of many projects for the rejuvenation of the city.
The Chief Minister dedicated the Automatic Fermented Milk Production Plant of Verka, built at a cost of Rs 84 crore, to the residents of the city. Similarly, he also inaugurated the smart school prepared at a cost of 4.83 crore rupees in Basti Danishmand through virtual medium. Bhagwant Mann also laid the foundation stone of the project of installing street lights on the roads in the leather complex of the city.
Meanwhile, addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that Jalandhar will be developed as an ideal city in the coming days and no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause. Bhagwant Mann also announced to speed up the sports industry in the city.
The Chief Minister said that giving a big relief to the farmers of Punjab, the state government has announced a 25 percent increase in crop damage compensation. He said that the farmers who have suffered more than 75 percent crop damage, will be given compensation of 15 thousand rupees per acre by the state government. Bhagwant Mann said that the purpose of this is to ensure the welfare of farmers at any cost.
The Chief Minister said that earlier this compensation was 12 thousand rupees per acre but our government has decided to increase it. He said that earlier the entire process of giving compensation was cumbersome as the governments were used to giving meager compensation to the farmers. Bhagwant Mann said that instead of giving relief to the farmers, the previous governments used to rub salt in the wounds of the farmers.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that a fully automated fermented milk production plant with a capacity of 1.25 lakh liters per day at Verka has been constructed at a cost of Rs 84 crore. He said that in this project 50 MT. It includes an automated yogurt plant with a capacity of 1.5 lakh liters per day and a lassi processing and packaging plant of 1.5 lakh liters per day.
Bhagwant Mann expressed the hope that with this step, the milk producers of Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar districts will get good prices of milk. Apart from this, direct and indirect employment opportunities are being provided to the youth and entrepreneurs of nearby areas.

Bhagwant Mann said that within a year they are dedicating new projects to the people of the state by pressing four to five buttons daily. He said that the day is not far, when with the efforts of the state government, Punjab will emerge as a leading state in the country.

Bhagwant Mann said that the state government has taken many exemplary initiatives in this regard. He said that besides providing employment opportunities to the youth, special attention is being given to strengthen the health and education sector.
The Chief Minister said that so far the Punjab government has given government jobs to 26,797 youth across the state and the entire recruitment process was conducted in a transparent manner and merit was the only basis. He said that now these youths have become an integral part of the socio-economic progress of the state. Bhagwant Mann said that giving employment to such a large number of youth in just one year shows the commitment of the state government to ensure the welfare of the youth and create new horizons of employment for them.
The Chief Minister said that 117 ‘Schools of Eminence’ have been set up in 23 districts to provide quality education to children. Bhagwant Mann said that in these schools, students are given engineering, law, commerce, UPSC. and NDA Including five professional and competitive exams will be prepared.
The Chief Minister further said that the Punjab Government has dedicated more than 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of the state to provide quality health services to the people. He said that world-class treatment and test facilities are being provided free of charge through these clinics. Bhagwant Mann said that so far more than 15 lakh persons have benefited from these Aam Aadmi clinics and 1.75 lakh patients have undergone free tests within a few months.
Talking to reporters later, the Chief Minister criticized the central government for treating the states like a stepmother. He said that by weakening the federal structure of the country, the central government is attacking the legal rights of the states and the interests of the states are being blatantly ignored. He said that the governors appointed by the central government are working as machines to suppress the voice of democratically elected governments. He said that the interests of the states are being attacked by the central government, which is harmful to democracy and the federal structure. Bhagwant Mann said that the authoritarian attitude of the central government is fatal to the fabric of democracy.
The Chief Minister further said that the central government is deliberately troubling the states. He said that 30 thousand crore rupees of Rural Development Fund (RDF) is still pending with the central government. Bhagwant Mann said that the Punjab government has completed all the paperwork but the central government has put unnecessary hurdles in the RDF. and GST is blocking the funds of He said that in another decision, Punjab was asked to bring coal from the allotted coal mine through Sri Lanka, which was not justified in any way. Bhagwant Mann said that such decisions have a negative impact on the relations between the Center and the states.
In response to another question, the Chief Minister made it clear that the law will take its course in Amritpal Singh’s case. He said that the state government has taken all possible steps to maintain peace and communal harmony throughout Punjab. Bhagwant Mann reiterated the state government’s commitment to maintain law and order in Punjab at all costs.
The Chief Minister said that he is a supporter of the fact that democracy with differences of ideas and views is always successful. Bhagwant Mann said that in a democracy both the opposition and the ruling party are important parties. He said that in democracy the voice of the people should be respected at all costs.
