The next day the complainant went to City Police Station-1, Abohar along with Sepoy Raj Kumar, a resident of his village Bazidpur Katianwali.
The complainant alleged that the said ASI He had asked for a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in exchange for settling the molestation complaint against him and getting him to resign. On repeated request, ASI Agreed to take Rs.50,000 and on the same day took Rs.20,000 from him (Bhim Sen). Thereafter, the said police personnel started forcing him to pay the outstanding amount of bribe and the complainant paid another Rs.15,000 through Google Pay on March 26, 2023 to Constable Raj Kumar’s mobile number. When the complainant asked for a copy of the resignation letter, the said policemen demanded Rs 15,000 as bribe.
The spokesperson said that after the preliminary investigation of the complaint, the team of Vigilance Bureau Unit Fazilka set a trap and arrested the said ASI. and apprehended the cop on the spot by accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant in the presence of two government witnesses.
In this regard, the said ASI at Police Station Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur Range. And a case has been registered against the constable under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is on.
