Moga:Waris Punjab Chief Minister Amritapal Singh has arrested Gudwara Sahib of village Rode in district Moga late last night. This has been confirmed by the Punjab Police in a tweet. Punjab Police tweeted that Amritpal Singh was arrested from Moga in Punjab. More details will be shared by Punjab Police later. Bhai Jasvir Singh Rode, the former Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib ji, while giving information in this regard to the media, said that Amritpal Singh had reached the village of Rode yesterday evening i.e. on Saturday. Jasveer Singh Rode said that first Amritpal addressed the congregation and later the police were informed that they wanted to arrest him and after that the police arrested Amritpal.

Let it be said that Amritpal himself arrested the Punjab Police but such false news is being spread in many places that Amritpal Singh was trying to escape and Amritpal has been arrested with a joint operation of the police and other security forces.

Amritpal Singh was absconding for the last 36 days. After 36 days, the arrest of Amritpal has become possible. On March 18, a campaign was launched by the Punjab Police to arrest Waris Punjab chief Amritpal. Through this police operation, a large number of youths of the organization were arrested and 9 people were sent to Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. It is being told that Amritpal Singh will also be sent to Dibrugarh Jail in Assam with his colleagues. A case has been registered against Amritpal under NSA.

Amritpal was absconding for the past several days. Punjab Police and security agencies were constantly searching for him. An operation was conducted across the country up to the Nepal border to catch Amritpal
