The lights of many houses are extinguished on the day of addiction. One such case has come to light from Ludhiana where another youth has died of drug overdose. According to the information received, the young man had left home for cutting but did not return home.
When the family searched for the youth, the body of the youth was found lying in the bathroom of the petrol pump. The deceased has been identified as Jasmeet Singh. Seeing the dead body, the petrol pump operator informed the police. After which the police of Chowki Marado under Thana Sadar reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
The police reached the spot and took possession of the body and kept it in the civil hospital mortuary for post-mortem. In this case, the police have started action against unknown people on the complaint of the deceased’s father.

Giving information about this incident, the father of the deceased, Gurdeep Singh Bajwa, has told the police that Jasmeet had left home on Sunday with a motorcycle to get a haircut from a hairdresser, but he did not return home. In the evening, he received a call that his son Jasmeet’s body was lying in the bathroom of a petrol pump in Ishwar Nagar. The police have received a CCTV footage from the incident site, in which 2 youths came riding on a bike, who gave him drugs. The police have taken possession of the footage.
