The news of a major accident has come to light in Jalandhar. According to the information received, a part of the under construction bridge collapsed near Gazipur village of Jalandhar.
It is being told that this incident happened last evening. In which about a dozen workers were injured. Out of which the condition of two workers is being said to be critical.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police party of Thana Maqsood reached the spot for investigation. The injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment late at night.
According to the information received, shuttering work was being done with iron pipes by the workers on the bridge under construction.
It is being told that during this the shuttering plate slipped from below. Due to which a part of the bridge fell on the workers working there. In which all were injured. After the incident, there was chaos in the entire area.
At present, no statement from any official of the Highway Authority has come out in this regard. According to the people nearby, 6 workers were injured in the incident. The condition of two of them is critical.
