While the village has become an island. In view of this, District Magistrate Rajesh Dhiman has ordered to keep the government primary school of the village closed from July 20 to 26.

As the village is surrounded by Sutlej river and BSF barbed wire on two sides, the only mode of transportation in the village is by boat. At present, the movement of people from the village is not an easy task due to the high water in the river. Not only this, most of the people of the village are in flood relief camps. In such a situation, it is not easy for children to reach school when the school opens. The said school comes under Ferozepur Shiksha Block.

Now 40 thousand cusecs of water is being released from Harike Head.
Although the water of Sutlej river is decreasing rapidly. Two lakh cusecs of water was being released into Sutlej river from Harike Head a week ago, which has now reduced to around 40,000 cusecs, it is expected that this water will decrease further in the coming week.
